FAQ
Technical questions, answered.
What is the core technology behind BrPERfect® and TransPi™ reagents?+
The products are based on biodegradable hyperbranched poly(β-amino ester) polymers designed for efficient nucleic acid complexation and cellular delivery.
How long are the transfection complexes stable at room temperature?+
Under recommended conditions, BrPERfect® for Virus complexes have been validated to remain stable for ≥3 h. BrPERfect® for Protein complexes are validated for ≥2 h. TransPi™ Mate complexes are designed to remain stable ≥3 h.
Can DPBS, PBS or serum-free medium be used instead of the supplied buffer?+
For selected workflows and sensitive cells, protocol guidance allows testing DPBS, PBS or serum-free medium as alternatives to the provided mixing buffer.
Do bubbles affect transfection efficiency during mixing?+
No — the protocols confirm bubbles do not affect efficiency. Rapid and thorough mixing is preferred over slow gentle inversion.
Are BrPERfect® products suitable for scale-up?+
Yes. Workflows are designed for simple, rapid complex preparation, and protocols include guidance for larger-volume complex preparation and scale-up.
Are the products for human use?+
TransPi™ Mate is for research use only and not for use in humans. Other products should be used according to product grade, documentation and customer qualification requirements.
What should I include when requesting technical support?+
Cell line, culture format, DNA amount, reagent ratio, culture volume, medium system, target readout, production goal and any current performance issue.
Still troubleshooting?
Share your cell line, DNA amount, ratio, culture volume, medium and current issue — our scientific team will get back to you within 24 h.
